So when the king ' s commandment and his decree were heard , and when many young women were gathered to susa the capital into the custody of hegai , esther was taken to the king ' s house into the custody of hegai , who was in charge of the women 8王的諭旨和法令傳出，許多少女被招聚到書珊京城，交在希該手下，以斯帖也在這時候被帶進王宮，交在照管女子的希該手下。
And mordecai went forth from the presence of the king in royal robes of blue and white , and with a large crown of gold , and with a garment of fine linen and purple ; and the city of susa shouted and rejoiced 15末底改穿著藍色白色的朝服，頭戴大金冠冕，又穿紫色細麻布的外袍，從王面前出來；書珊城的人民都歡呼快樂。
Then mordecai went out from the presence of the king in royal robes of blue and white , with a large crown of gold and a garment of fine linen and purple ; and the city of susa shouted and rejoiced 斯8 : 15末底改穿著藍色白色的朝服、頭戴大金冠冕、又穿紫色細麻布的外袍、從王面前出來書珊城的人民、都歡呼快樂。
But the jews who were in susa assembled on the thirteenth day of the month and on the fourteenth of the month ; and on the fifteenth day of the same they rested and made it a day of feasting and rejoicing 18但書珊的猶大人，在十三日、十四日聚集殺戮仇敵；這月十五日才享安息，并以這日為設筵歡樂的日子。
Then esther said , if it please the king , let it be granted to the jews who are in susa to do tomorrow also according to this day ' s decree , and let haman ' s ten sons be hanged upon the gallows 13以斯帖說，王若以為美，求你準書珊的猶大人，明日也照今日的法令行，并將哈曼十個兒子的尸首掛在木架上。
And when these days were completed , the king held a banquet for seven days for all the people found in susa the capital , both great and small , in the court of the garden of the king ' s palace 5這些日子滿了，王又為所有在書珊京城的人民，無論尊大或卑小，在王宮花園的院內設擺筵宴七日。
Then esther sent this reply to mordecai her cousin , go gather together all the jews who are in susa and fast for me . do not eat or drink for 3 days , night or day , i and my maids will fast as you do 你當去招聚書珊城所有的猶大人，為我禁食三晝三夜，不吃不喝我和我的宮女也要這樣禁食
“ if it pleases the king , “ esther answered , “ give the jews in susa permission to carry out this day ' s edict tomorrow also , and let haman ' s ten sons be hanged on gallows . 13以斯帖說、王若以為美、求你準書珊的猶大人、明日也照今日的旨意行、并將哈曼十個兒子的尸首、掛在木架上。
Go ; assemble all the jews who are to be found in susa , and fast for me ; and do not eat or drink for three days , night or day ; i also and my maids will fast in the same way 16你當去招聚書珊城所有的猶大人，為我禁食，三日之內，晝夜不吃不喝；我和我的侍女也要這樣禁食。
