“ but lord , “ gideon asked , “ how can i save israel ? my clan is the weakest in manasseh , and i am the least in my family . 15基甸說，主阿，我有何能拯救以色列人呢？我家在瑪拿西支派中是至貧窮的。我在我父家是至微小的。
During that night the lord said to gideon , “ get up , go down against the camp , because i am going to give it into your hands 9當那夜，耶和華吩咐基甸說，起來，下到米甸營里去，因我已將他們交在你手中。
They asked each other , “ who did this ? “ when they carefully investigated , they were told , “ gideon son of joash did it . 29就彼此說，這事是誰作的呢？他們訪查之后，就說，這是約阿施的兒子基甸作的。
Gideon replied , “ if now i have found favor in your eyes , give me a sign that it is really you talking to me 17基甸說，我若在你眼前蒙恩，求你給我一個證據，使我知道與我說話的就是主。
When the angel of the lord appeared to gideon , he said , “ the lord is with you , mighty warrior . 12耶和華的使者向基甸顯現，對他說，大能的勇士阿，耶和華與你同在。
Who are you kidding ? “ gideon asked , “ how can i save israel 基甸問：主啊，我有何能拯救以色列人呢？

And they said one to another , who hath done this thing ? and when they inquired and asked , they said , gideon the son of joash hath done this thing 士6 : 29就彼此說、這事是誰作的呢他們訪查之后、就說、這是約阿施的兒子基甸作的。
And gideon went up by the way of them that dwelt in tents on the east of nobah and jogbehah , and smote the host : for the host was secure 11基甸就由挪巴和約比哈東邊，從住帳棚人的路上去，殺敗了米甸人的軍兵，因為他們坦然無懼。
Then the men of israel said to gideon , “ rule over us , both you and your son , also your son ' s son , for you have delivered us from the hand of midian . 士8 : 22以色列人對基甸說、你既救我們脫離米甸人的手、愿你和你的兒孫管理我們。
And they said one to another , who hath done this thing ? and when they enquired and asked , they said , gideon the son of joash hath done this thing 29就彼此說，這事是誰作的呢。他們訪查之后，就說，這是約阿施的兒子基甸作的。
Then gideon built an altar there to jehovah , and he called it jehovah - shalom . to this day it is still in ophrah of the abiezrites 24于是基甸在那里為耶和華筑了一座壇，起名叫耶和華沙龍。這壇到如今還在亞比以謝族的俄弗拉。
When i and all who are with me blow the trumpet , you also blow the trumpets around all the camp and say , for jehovah and for gideon 18我和一切跟隨我的人吹角的時候，你們也要在全營的四圍吹角，喊叫說，耶和華和基甸的刀！
And gideon the son of joash died in a good old age , and was buried in the sepulchre of joash his father , in ophrah of the abiezrites 32約阿施的兒子基甸，年紀老邁而死，葬在亞比以謝族的俄弗拉，在他父親約阿施的墳墓里。
And they said to one another , who has done this thing ? and after searching with care , they said , gideon , the son of joash , has done this thing 就彼此說、這事是誰作的呢他們訪查之后、就說、這是約阿施的兒子基甸作的。
