The design for assembly ( dfa ) is an important enabling technology in concurrent engineering . g boothroyd and p . dewhurst of university of massachusetts firstly gave this terminology when they applied a method to evaluate the performance of product assembly design . dfa evaluation method is still developing with the deep research of concurrent engineering Dfa這一術語，最早是由美國馬薩諸塞大學( universityofmassachusetts )的gboothroyd和p . dewhurst提出的，當時主要采用的是計算評分的方法來對產品的可裝配性進行定量的評價。
