The eastern winds ensemble was established in 1998 for the purpose of promoting wind chamber music , increasing public knowledge of wind instruments as well as raising the standard of music appreciation 東風成立于一九九八年十月，以推廣管樂室樂演奏、增加聽眾對管樂器的認識及提高室樂欣賞水平為目標，更同時邀請本地作曲家創作新作品，以拓展演奏曲目。
